  Named after Lizzie Faulkner's home town, Lancashire, England, Burnley opens to the homestead veranda on the south side and has wonderful views to the misty Porongurup Range. Ideal for families with its large lounge area, Fernbrook and Burnley can be joined for groups and often two families who come to enjoy a holiday together. The log fire, television and lounge setting are in the spacious room which was the original kitchen of the Homestead when it catered for up to 70 guests. Burnley has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles, and the large family area with its bunk bed with trundle and a single bed. It is best suited for up to two adults and four children.

• Fernbrook

  The original name for the home Lizzie and Gilbert Faulkner built at Bolganup in 1912 and named for the ferns in the creeks. Opens to the wide front veranda of the Homestead, it can be a one bedroom or three bedroom apartment. The kitchen, dining and living area with the log fire have sunny views across the paddocks and open to the veranda with its gas barbecue and outdoor furniture settings, making it wonderful for relaxed dining. The main bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom a queen and a king single and the third bedroom two single beds and two trundles. The rooms are spacious and can accommodate up to nine guests.

• Ravine Cottage

  A charming three bedroom cottage in the gardens of the homestead and named after the original guest house in the Bolganup Road and leads through the ravine up to Devils Slide. Freshly refurbished, it is quiet and private with mountain views. Honeymoon couples have relaxed here after the excitement of the wedding and keep coming back year after year. In the laundry there is a washing machine. The modern bedroom has a shower over a hip bath. There is a queen bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in both the second and third bedroom, and accommodates up to six guests.

• Bolganup

  Bolganup is the name of the original land grant of 40 acres that Gilbert Faulkner came to work on in the 1890s and bought in 1908. Bolganup is also the name given to the small apartment in the Faulkner family's part of the homestead and is used as a backup in particularly busy periods. It too is recently refurbished and has many historical photographs. This apartment consists of two bedrooms with a queen bed and two single beds, a kitchen, living room, bathroom and porch. It accommodates up to four guests.
