A steak and a glass of wine beside a campfire under a million stars is a perfectly relaxing way to end the day. In the morning, step outside your self contained cabin set on the banks of Hedlow Creek and feel the tranquillity of the bush at Henderson Park Farm Retreat, 30 kilometres (half hour drive) north of Rockhampton, and ten minutes off the Bruce Highway.
Henderson Park is a working property with 1,200 head of cattle. Have a look at what they do or relax on the verandah with a book - the decision is yours.
Hedlow Creek, some nine kilometres long, has been stocked with barramundi so wetting a line is a must, but swimming, canoeing or bushwalking (don't forget your camera) are all options.
Hedlow Lodge has four luxurious bedrooms with en suites. The Lodge is perfect for the individual, family, group or function looking for somewhere private with modern facilities and a relaxed ambience. The spacious deck has enough room for groups of up to 60 and the surrounding grounds are open areas with extensive views, both perfect for functions both day and night. The Lodge is fully wheelchair accessible.
