Mango Hill Cottages Bed and Breakfast, Childers, is a family owned and operated accommodation establishment consisting of two individual, semi-self contained timber cottages built along the lines of the early cane cutters’ cottages. They are ideally suited to couples wanting to relax amid a peaceful rural setting. Each cottage sleeps between two and four guests and both have front verandahs offering a picturesque outlook to a water lily-covered dam, cane fields, green hills and small crops.

The cottages are located in the garden of the hosts, a few steps from the owners’ boutique winery, distillery and cellar door ‘Hill of Promise’, featuring preservative -free wines and fortifieds. Just five minutes drive from the Heritage-listed town of Childers, this pretty patch of the planet is 40 kilometres from the pristine beach of Woodgate, 50 kilometres from Bundaberg, departure point for Lady Musgrave Island the southernmost point of the Great Barrier Reef. Hervey Bay, the departure point for Fraser Island is 50 kilometres away. ‘Snakes Downunder’, ‘Flying High Bird Aviary’ and Mammino Ice creamery are within 10 minutes drive.
