The Racecourse Inn (circa 1838) is a charming former Georgian coaching inn, now a bed and breakfast, in the historic village of Longford, Northern Tasmania. Only a ten-minute drive from Launceston airport, and an ideal base for touring, this tastefully restored inn exudes historic ambience, with climbing roses covering the convict-made bricks.
Our delightful Queen and King rooms are all ensuited. All guest rooms have double glazing and the attic rooms are air-conditioned. The downstairs Standard Queen and Deluxe Spa rooms both feature high ceilings and open fire places.
Your accommodation includes a full cooked Tasmanian gourmet breakfast featuring produce from our orchard and garden, with set menu evening meals in our licensed restaurant available by prior arrangement. Our menu features the freshest local produce available, much of it sourced from the garden at the Racecourse Inn. The wine list provides the discerning diner with a wide range of Tasmanian and Australian wines.
We are a five-minute drive from World Heritage-listed Woolmers Estate and Brickendon Farm, and the stunning National Rose Garden at Woolmers. Stroll Longford's wide streets and admire the fine colonial architecture, visit antique stores or fly fish for trout.
