Twinstar Guesthouse and Observatory provides unique Bed and Breakfast accommodation with an in-house astronomical observatory; a great place for nature-based activities such as bushwalking and stargazing.
The Guesthouse has three en-suite rooms with air-con, digital television, queen-size bed and a free undercover carport. The affordable room rates remain the same throughout the year and include continental breakfast and a night sky tour. Dinner is also available on request and delivered to rooms (booking essential).
The guided tour of the night sky introduces guests to the beauty of the heavens by using a large telescope (46 centimetre reflector). The tour is conducted in a personal and friendly atmosphere, as no more than six guests are allowed in the dome. This complimentary activity for guests lasts about one hour.
The Guesthouse is ideally located for visits to national parks (Girraween, Bald Rock, Boono Boono and Sundown National Parks), bird watching and wildflower viewing. It is 20 kilometres south of Stanthorpe and 40 kilometres north of Tenterfield in Ballandean on New England Highway. A number of wineries are also found within a short distance from the property.Visit Website
