This track passes through spectacular rainforest, grassland eucalypt and bunya pine forest in Bunya Mountain National Park. Along the gently undulating climb, look for the local Mowbullan whitewood trees with their mottled green, white and grey bark.
See colourful noisy pittas searching for a snail meal on quiet early morning walks. Listen to the flocks of topknot pigeons feeding in the treetops or hear the loud call of the whipbird and the mournful cry of the catbird. In summer, pink flowers from the lacebark tree litter the forest floor. Stop for lunch on the grassy patch above Big Falls overlooking Barker Creek Gorge.Visit Website
