Bucasia Beach

Natural Attractions

Located in the northern beaches area of Mackay, Bucasia Beach is a picturesque sandy haven, popular for walking, swimming and fishing. Kick off your shoes and feel the soft white sand underfoot.

Approximately four kilometres in length, Bucasia Beach is one of the longest beaches in the Mackay Region. Nearby accommodation options include a beachside resort and a beachfront caravan park.

Keen anglers can fish off the beach at high tide for Flathead. A popular fishing location is toward the southern end of the beach, near the sandy spits and mangroves of Eimeo Creek. A boat ramp is also located at this part of the beach.

This is a pet-friendly beach with a designated off-leash area between Williams Avenue and Symons Avenue.

Views take in Dolphin Heads to the north and the Cumberland Islands.

Seaview Park on the Bucasia Esplanade includes barbecue facilities, shade, picnic tables, public toilets, water fountains and a children’s playground. A cafe is located on the Esplanade and the Hibiscus Shopping Centre is approximately a two-minute drive from the foreshore.
