Edith River Crossing

National Parks and Reserves

Edith River Crossing is a welcome break after walking approximately 12 kilometres from 17 Mile Falls on route to Sandy Camp (a further 5.1 kilometres) on day four of the Jatbula Trail hike.

You will begin to notice a change in scenery as the trail moves away from the rocky escarpment and into the Edith Falls catchment area, with thick strands of Grevilleas and Paperbacks found close to Edith River Crossing. At the crossing is a good place to have a break and refill water supplies, noting that the crossing can dry up later in the walking season. Along the way you will pass by Channels Waterhole.
