Greenough Leaning Trees

Natural Attractions

The Leaning Trees are scattered throughout the Greenough area. Although most of the trees are located on private property, you will not be able to miss them as you drive along the Brand Highway. Stop along the roadside carpark (look for the camera icon) approximately 20 minutes south of Geraldton to view and take photographs.

The leaning trees are a bizarre natural phenomenon caused by the airborne salt content blown in with the winds off the Indian Ocean. The tree trunks lie horizontal to the ground and have become somewhat of an icon.

Whilst in the area, make sure to visit Greenough and all its 19th century history.

Greenough is just a four and a half hour drive north of Perth, or 20 minutes south of Geraldton.
