Hambledon Cottage is an historic cottage built in 1824, home to Penelope Lucas, governess to Elizabeth and John Macarthur's daughters. An elegant Colonial Georgian cottage containing historic items and special displays. The kitchen block contains an excellent example of a domed brick oven and the gardens contain heritage listed trees. The building is home to the Parramatta and District Historical Society.
