Established in the old ABC 2NR radio transmitter building in Merton Street, Lawrence is the Lawrence Museum (under the mast). After getting off the ferry turn right into Merton Street and follow the signs to the museum. And whilst it is only in its developmental stage they believe they have something worthwhile seeing.
As well as the usual memorabilia they''re endeavouring to highlight items associated with radio broadcasting.
They are inviting coach companies and interested groups to visit, see their progress and enjoy the experiences of radio broadcasting from its very early years in Australia. They recommend coach groups consider a round trip to Lawrence as a day or part day tour incorporating the museum visit.
Special bookings for coaches/groups may be made any day of the week. Group tours of the museum include a morning or afternoon tea for a minimal cost.
