Mount Granya State Park is a dominant feature in the Upper Murray landscape. Its steep, forested slopes rise dramatically above Lake Hume and surrounding valleys to form prominent ridges and plateaus. The park has diverse vegetation and spectacular wildflowers.

Picnic at the Mount Granya Summit (950 metres) and enjoy views of the surrounding valleys and distant mountains particularly from the Georges Creek Lookout. The distinctive call of the Lyrebird is often heard on the nearby Lyrebird Walk. A 400 loop that wanders the summit.

The seasonal Granya Falls combined with a stop at the Scout Hub can be enjoyed from the Cotton Tree Creek campground and visitor area.

For those wishing to stretch their legs, the Mt Granya Walking Track (10.4 km return) links the Cotton Tree Creek with Mt Granya Summit via Granya Falls.
