Roe Lookout

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Roe Lookout provides a picturesque view across the town of Narembeen and the surrounding nature reserve. Take the scenic drive up to the lookout and enjoy the extensive views from the highest point in the district.

Take a walk over to the old well, which dates back to the mid-1800s. Early settlers to the area collected drinking water from the well, and it is still supplying water today. Bask in the pleasant surroundings and settle back for a picnic lunch before enjoying a walk around the summit of Emu Hill Rock, where the lookout is located.

Roe Lookout is just five minutes drive west of the delightful town of Narembeen and a three and a half-hour drive east of Perth. The Central Wheatbelt town of Narembeen was established in the early 1900s and tells its charming story through several museums and the old Cumminin homestead.
