Hello, My wife & I recently visited The Discovery & Geneology Centre regarding my Grandfather George Michael O’Halloran, looking for information on his family background. I discussed the fact that I had his Stagecoach Driver’s Licence, No 6, Issued at Burnie to drive between Ulverstone & Stanley, framed at home, with the gentleman on duty. He was very helpful and I was able to obtain a postcard depicting a stagecoach outside the Union Hotel. I am in the process of now having the Stagecoach Driver’s Licence digitally enhanced as it has become quite faded. My intention is to have a copy of it produced and sent to the Discovery & Geneology Centre for display as discudded with the gentleman on duty. Please advise if this is still the case and if so I will make the necessary arrangements which will probably be mid April.
