Summer Skating Rink

Ice skating in the middle of summer! Yes you can in Australia’s high country.

The Snowy Mountains is a winter playground so it makes sense for this wonderful area to provide Australia’s first permanent all weather skating rink.

Invented in America the rink comprises of 80 specially engineered polymer panels that replicate the feeling of real ice. Participants strap on proper ice skates and glide around the 240 square metre surface. Specially designed safety barriers are in place to help beginners.

At the mountain top location skaters and onlookers will also be able to enjoy delicious hot chocolates or cool beverages in the stunning lounge of the lodge whilst enjoying the amazing view. Champagne and other drinks are available from the bar.
