Supreme Court Gardens

Parks and Gardens

The Supreme Court Gardens were officially opened in 1845 as a botanical garden. They are well located facing the river, and are semi enclosed by a beautiful range of mature trees and well manicured gardens.

With expansive lawns, and a convenient location in the centre of the city, the gardens are popular for events such as Opera in the Park and Carols by Candlelight.

Whilst visiting the gardens, check out the city’s original Court House which was built in 1836 and is next to the Supreme Court building. It has been restored to its original condition, complete with wood shingled roof, and now houses a small museum.

Find a nice quiet spot to sit under a tree and enjoy the river outlook, or the city skyline, whilst soaking up a bit of quiet time away from the bustle of the city centre.

The Supreme Court Gardens are located on the corner of Barrack Street and Riverside Drive, Perth
