Turquoise Bay

National Parks and Reserves

Consistently voted amongst the top three best beaches in Australia, Turquoise Bay is the highlight of Exmouth’s Cape Range National Park.

Turquoise Bay took out the Number 1 spot in the Top 10 Beaches in the South Pacific and came 3rd in the top 25 Beaches in the World in Tripadvisor’s recent 2022 Traveller’s Choice Awards.

The white sand beaches of Turquoise Bay give way to the crystal clear waters of the Ningaloo Reef Lagoon which are brimming with pristine coral gardens just footsteps from the beach. This makes Turquoise Bay one of the Ningaloo region’s premier land-based snorkelling sites.

Snorkelling the Turquoise Bay Drift takes you across thick coral gardens which are home to hundreds of species of brightly coloured reef fish as well as sea turtles, harmless reef sharks and stingrays. Visitors can opt for do-it-yourself snorkelling straight off the beach, or take a guided snorkel tour.

Turquoise Bay is located approximately 63 kilometres from the Exmouth township, inside the Cape Range National Park. Shuttle bus services from Exmouth are available seasonally. Please contact the visitor information centre for more information.

Tourists are advised to check for alerts and road/park closures before commencing their travel on www.emergency.wa.gov.au and https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au
