Yass and District Museum

On now is an exciting exhibition "50 years 50 Treasures" which highlights the best of the Museum's collection. One of the items is Hamilton Hume's telescope used in the Overland Expedition with Hovell. There are so many treasures just waiting for you!

Take a stroll down Comur Street as it was in the 1890s. An exhibition called 'Parallels' displays a model of historic Yass buildings with pictures of their modern day counterparts, to show the relationships and conservation of Yass’ National Trust-listed main street.

At the rear of the museum is a fascinating presentation on the wool industry.

The museum is located next to the Yass Valley Visitor Information Centre, near Coronation Park.
