As intrepid friends depart for American shores to discover new dances and tunes come and celebrate with some Contra and American-style dances. While the cat’s away.

The Hot String Band will provide lively traditional tunes to dance and listen to.

Contra dance is a lively, swingy, beginner-friendly dance style from the New England region of the USA that is very social and highly addictive.

We will do plenty of contra dances along with some American square sets, circle mixers and couples’ dances and a dash of Cajun to spice things up.

All dances taught. No dancing experience or partner required.
