Amy's Ride SA is a recreational mass participation road ride from Adelaide to McLaren Vale. The event raises much needed funds for road safety in South Australia, and gives people the opportunity to ride a bike along the Southern Expressway (closed for the event), and take on a personal challenge.
Amy's Ride SA supports the Amy Gillett Foundation and aims to help promote key messages of safe and responsible road use, increase awareness of the need for more respect amongst road users, and honour the memory of Amy Gillett who was killed by a motorist while riding in Germany.
Riders can choose to ride 25, 35, 65 or 100 kilometres, starting from Flinders University or O'Halloran Hill (25 kilometres only). The finish is at the McLaren Vale Visitor Centre where you can enjoy lunch, entertainment and a glass of vino.
