Bendigo Easter Festival 2012

The 2012 Bendigo Easter Festival promises to be filled with fun and entertainment for the whole family.

Bendigo''s CBD will come alive with activities and events within walking distance of each other and heaps of parking nearby.

The festivities will begin on Good Friday with Hazeldene''s Family Day. The Easter Egg Hunt is always a favourite for young children as they search to find the tastiest Easter treat - chocolate! Kids will be enchanted by the entertainment on stage throughout the day. Adults can stroll around the market or be captivated by the art.

Bendigo Bank''s Kidzone will be a mass of celebration with loads of fun activities and great entertainment so make sure you are a part of the excitement. Don''t miss the shows from erth''s dinosaur petting zoo!

Dance, drums, Lion Teams and 100,000 crackers are all part of the Chinese Spring Festival and the Awakening of the Dragon as Bendigo celebrates its Chinese heritage. As the sun sets on Saturday, find your place along the road to cheer on the convoy of illuminated floats in the Torchlight Procession concluding with a spectacular fireworks display over the city.

The festival concludes with a gorgeous display of colour as Sun Loong makes his annual appearance in the Bendigo Advertiser Gala Parade.
