Celebrate Mooroolbark is an annual community festival held in March at Red Earth Park and Mooroolbark Community Centre. Involving local schools, businesses, community groups and individuals the festival provides free and low cost entertainment suitable for people of all ages.
Throughout the day there is a parade, a full stage program, roving performers, kids activities, workshops, rides, stalls of food, drink and local wares and more.
Celebrate Mooroolbark seeks to create a truly local festival that remains relevant to the people in the community of Mooroolbark and surrounding suburbs. It aims to bring together the full diversity of community members with a family friendly event provided by and for the community. In so doing, they celebrate and enhance the community spirit, connectedness and quality of life.
The festival opens with the Talent Quest at 7.30pm Friday 22 March and continues 9.30am to 4pm Saturday 23 March. Saturday morning begins with a spectacular street parade down Station Street and Brice Avenue and involves a growing number of schools, community groups and Mooroolbark residents. The day continues with local acts on the community stage, roving performers, market stalls, rides, kids activities and much, much more!
