Channel Country Challenge

The Channel Country Challenge is the largest annual event for the town of Thargomindah. Friday kicks off with campdrafting followed by two hand cutting events. There is a bar and canteen each day and night from Friday to Sunday. Saturday starts with the Stockman’s Challenge events and more campdrafting. There is a horse sale Saturday evening followed by night rodeo and novelty events. Band and bar Saturday night have the grounds at full capacity with locals and visitors coming from far and wide to dance the night away. Sunday has more campdrafting and the finals for each Stockman’s Challenge and campdraft finishing up with presentations and Sunday dinner for anyone staying.
