Presented by Barkly Regional Arts, The Desert Harmony Festival is an annual 10-day multi-arts and cultural community festival, held in Tennant Creek in the NT. The festival features music, visual arts, theatre, food, cultural activities, parades, film and dance from the Barkly Region and around Australia. Events are a mix of traditional, contemporary, cultural, indigenous, non-indigenous, youth and adult presentations.
This year boasts performances from renowned musicians: COLOURED STONE, CATHERINE SATOUR, 'DYSON, STRINGER CLOHER', African drumming group KEYIM BA, BARKLY DIVAS, comedian KEVIN KROPINYERI and a host of great musicians from the Barkly region. There is a range of fantastic community workshops and morning Yoga sessions for festival goers to get involved in. Thee will also be an ARTS CULTURE EXPERIENCE featuring: a Barkly Community Artist Market, Artefact Making, Bush Tucker Talks, Writers Ink, and Messages From Prison.Visit Website
