Global Grooves 2012 celebrating arts, music and culture with the local multi cultural community and having as much fun as possible whilst doing that! Last year over 6,000 people attended.
The day includes over 40 stalls selling handicrafts, food, workshops for the kids, drumming and dance workshops. This year they are expecting over a dozen different ethnic food stalls so there will be
something delicious and home cooked from around the world.
During the day the main stage will come alive with the best singing, dancing and music by Mackay's ethnic artists and communities. Another highlight of the day will be the children's national costume parade. Last year over 30 people took place showing their national costumes with pride.
Take part in the drumming workshops, lantern making, henna painting or relax with your family and wait for the 8pm fireworks. A great free family event.
