The Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival has a rich history having constantly evolved over 22 years. The annual event is held under the lovely shade of the kilometre long strip of magnificent Elm trees that line the New England Highway as you pass through Guyra.
The Festival is frequented by over 40 specialty boutique stalls and features a Gazebo serving Lamb and Potato based meals. The object of the committee is to promote Guyra as a place to live and to showcase the industries of the region which today incorporates much more than lamb and potato as it did in the days of its inception.
There will be musicians playing daily, shearing demonstrations, the ever popular rail trike rides to the rail museum, various car clubs and Guyra will also host the annual antique machinery display and swap meet which is one of the biggest in Australia.
