Goulburn Historic Waterworks Steaming

Historic Waterworks - open and steaming

Step back in time to the 1880's when Goulburn was one of the first regional centres to supply piped water to its residents. The Goulburn Historic Waterworks has remained intact with a pumphouse and working steam beam engine in an idyllic location on the banks of the Wollondilly River.

While you are there you can enjoy tours of the Pumphouse Museum, viewing a 120 year old Appleby Beam Engine and Hick Hargreaves Corliss Valve Engine under steam.

The Pumphouse Café is open for lunch, morning and afternoon tea or you can bring your own picnic by the river.

There is also a Childrens’ Playground

Open but not steaming all other Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.
