International Your Forum Goulburn - World Youth Day
Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn and the Emmanuel Community invite you to join us for the International Youth Forum
The International Youth Forum will be held in Goulburn from the 10th to the 14th of July 2008 as part of the Days in the Diocese for the Archdiocese of Canberra/ Goulburn in the lead up to World Youth Day 2008. It is open to all young people aged from 16 to 35.
The Youth Forum will see some 2,500 young people from all over the world descend on Goulburn to experience our hospitality and care as they prepare for World Youth Day in Sydney the following week.
World Youth Day is the largest youth event in the world and will be held in Sydney from 15 - 20 July 2008. Organised by the Catholic Church, World Youth Day gathers young people from around the world to build bridges of friendship and hope between continents, peoples and cultures.
During their stay, participants will be accommodated by host families, and they will have programs organised by the Emmanuel Community to attend during the day. This is a great opportunity to show the world the wonderful spirit that exists in the Southern Tablelands Community, and experience the benefit of sharing the lives of so many young people from around the world.
To become a part of this event you do not need to be of any particular faith, merely to be able to show warmth, care and concern for young people far from home.
