Autumn Colours
Autumn Colours 2008
Nestled in the Central Tablelands, Bathurst is blessed with a breathtaking natural landscape as well as spectacular established parks and gardens.
The Bathurst Region is renowned for its four distinct seasons and the Autumn months are among the most beautiful of the year, when the leaves begin to change colour and the hint of a winter chill is in the air. It would be difficult to find a better time to enjoy all the Region has to offer. I welcome Bathurst residents and visitors to our Region to enjoy this wonderful time of year by taking advantage of the special activities planned for Autumn Colours 2008.
Autumn Colours 2008 runs from the beginning of March through until the end of May and includes major events such as the Gold Crown Carnival, Bre&d in the Pavilion, Proclamation Day, Festival of Sporting Cars Mount Panorama, Hill End Historic Buildings Open Day and many more.
The three month program will also feature a variety of Heritage Tours. Conducted in conjunction with the Bathurst Heritage Group these tours are sure to offer something of interest to everyone including:
The Worst Jobs in 19th Century Bathurst
Glendower and its colourful past
Putting Bathurst on the Map
Reminiscing with Helen & Hazel
Tours of Abercrombie House.
Everyone is encouraged to make the most of this enchanting time of the year and take advantage of this unique opportunity to discover more about the colour, culture and communities of the Bathurst Region and all they have to offer.
