Red Hot and Blue Play at Blue Wren Wines
On Friday of the long weekend in June Blue Wren will be hosting an evening of entertainment with Jazz band ‘ Red Hot & Blue’.
Playing a potent mix of swing, latin and blues, the band consists of Di Bird on vocals, on bass is American legend Ed Gaston, and on Piano is Bill Risby who is also of international fame. They will also be joined by another yet unnamed frontline player on trumpet or saxophone.
Di has performed with jazz greats including Al Herman and Bob Montgomery from USA and has more recently been touring Tasmania with this band.
