Parkes Picnic Races
Parkes Picnic races are held annually each Saturday June long weekend. The Weekend has almost become a ‘Back to Parkes’ weekend, with many residents opening their homes to friends and relations who come to celebrate their connection with Parkes for the weekend. The weekend attracts visitors from all over the state, as well as from interstate.
People are welcome to organise their own arrangements, or to purchase tickets in one of the many hospitality tents organised and catered for by local pubs and clubs.
The big draw card at each year’s Picnic Races is the special guest. Special guest will be known closer to date.
