Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 - V8 Supercar Championship Series Round 10
In October, 40,000 campers and thousands of spectators will make the annual pilgrimage to the Mountain for the ultimate Australian sporting experience, the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
Known the world over simply as "Bathurst", this event typifies everything Australians love about motorsport - the rivalry that is Holden vs Ford, the skills of the drivers as they battle 161 laps of a demanding and challenging track, and the staying power necessary to take the chequered flag. It's one of those events you have to attend at least once in a lifetime!
Few sporting events offer the opportunity to get as close to the action as this event. You can camp with your mates in any of the 6 campgrounds on the Mountain, rub shoulders with the drivers in the Paddock and soak up the atmosphere as part of the crowd - it's great entertainment for the entire family and an experience you will never forget.
