Dungog Agricultural Show

Dungog Show will be happening. An agricultural show at it’s best. Full ring displays with cattle judging and wood chopping. The program of events is looking good.

Friday 7th will be given over, as usual, to camp drafting. However outside the arena there will be all manner of displays. These displays will be mainly aimed at the school children, but will be of great interest to adults as well. These displays include the, Antique Farm Machinery, as the usual Art, Needlework and Craft Exhibitions, and the Homemade Goodies.

Special mention must be made of the Antique Machinery. There will be a number of Vintage Tractors, Stationary Engines as well as other machinery. The owners of these machines will be there to give demonstrations where possible, and to talk about them.

Dungog’s Grand Parade has always been better than most; and this year will be another step forward. It begins at 2.30pm and will feature the cattle, horses, vintage machinery, restored horse drawn vehicles, as well as new tractors, cars and trucks. A hugely colourful display and the centrepiece of the Show. During the Grand Parade the Show will be officially opened, the Show Girls presented and the winner announced.

The Woodchop and Post Splitting will also be a great item to watch.
Saturday 8th Demolition Derby drivers competing with other driver’s who is best the overall to last without their cars have been destroyed.
