Dungog Pedalfest
Three day cycling event. Dungog Pedalfest, now into its 13th year, is an Annual event in celebration of the humble bicycle. Pedalfest is a weekend gathering for cyclist, to enjoy safe pedalling on scenic country roads, and relaxation in the very best of company. Add a festival family atmosphere in and around the classic rural town of Dungog, with a bush dance at 6.00pm There are rides suitable for children and rides that might stretch the muscles of the fittest and keenest of adults.
Day 1 Friday 12th: Kids and Cobwebs all ages Charity ride around Dungog streets. Pasta night at Royal Hotel for Cyclists get together to meet and have a chat.
Day 2 Saturday 13th: 7.30am Rotarians healthy breakfast, 8.30am then a ride from Dungog Visitor Centre around the Fosterton Loop Road (22 kilometres) with refreshments half way at Williams River Bridge then back to town. 1.15pm another Scones jam and& cream ride to Thalaba (19 kilometres). 1.30pm a Orienteering ride with a (3 kilometres) to and from Dungog Common.
Day 3 Sunday14th: A healthy breakfast - Departure from Dungog Visitor Information Centre to Chichester Dam like they say a Dam good ride 23 kilometres each away on the roller coaster ride. Bring a lunch and have a picnic free refreshments at Hindley Park above the Dam for all riders. After something to eat and drink. Then back to Dungog better going back.
Please ensure you carry water.
Riders under 14 years must be accompanied by a cycling adult.
Dungog Pedalfest raised $13,000 for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter in 2007.
