Merriwa Festival of The Fleeces

This event is a celebration of the regions historic association with the Australian Wool Industry.

Activities during the day include Running of the Sheep, laser tag, obstacle course and fun run, festival parade, pie eating competition, shearing demonstrations, cooee calling, damper cooking, blade shearing, billy cart derby, horse shoe demonstration, Pooka the clown, business window displays, scarecrow competition, whip cracking and tin art work display.

Art Competition for all to enter with prizes for, Traditional painting, water colour painting, miniature painting, print making section, drawing, local prize, Photography - Colour (Open), Photography - Black & White (Open) and Novice.
