Dungog Film Festival

The Dungog Film Festival is an annual cultural event showcasing exclusively the very best of Australian cinema from the past, present and future. The festival is staged over four glorious autumn days in the charming Hunter town of Dungog, home to the oldest continuously running cinema in Australia, the James Theatre.

Over the past two years, this unique festival has taken the distribution and exhibition industries by storm and quickly established itself as the pre-eminent festival of Australian cinema in the country.

The Dungog Film Festival is held over four venues, all in close proximity to the main venue – approximately five minutes walk. A regular free loop bus will be available to take pass holders from venue to venue.
