Wahu Surfer Grom Competition Newcastle
The Wahu Surfer Groms Competition is going nationwide over Summer with the first of seven events kicking off in Newcastle.
Apart from the Surfing, there’ll be loads of other activities happening on the beach. Newcastle Main Beach is the main event location for the opening round of the Wahu Surfer Groms Comps, with South Bar Beach, Nobbys and Merewether beaches backup locations.
Formerly just in Queensland, five Australian states will now host the exciting, all-grommet affairs, which have divisions catering for the micro groms (under 9’s) to the big kids alike (under 15’s), and is all about providing a fun, but competitive environment.
For most grommets, the family orientated events represent the perfect opportunity for them to have their first crack in a professionally run surfing contest.
