2008 Tamworth Country Music Festival
The 2008 Tamworth Country Music Festival will be held Friday 18th - Sunday 27th January 2008 (inclusive), with Australia Day falling on Saturday 27th. Why not take make a long weekend of it and enjoy the one of the biggest and best Country Music Festivals in the World - the 36th Country Music Awards of Australia will be held on Saturday 26th January.
Every January, 75,000 visitors come to Tamworth to celebrate the Country Music Festival. These visitors make the Festival what it is today, and in 2008, we will be celebrating the 36th anniversary of the Festival.
You don’t have to love country music to have a great time in Tamworth – the atmosphere, the fringe festivals and the regional visitor attractions keep everyone well entertained. If you’re into all kinds of music, then this is heaven – we know you’ll enjoy it all because we’ve been putting on one of the best parties in the world for years now.
The future dates for the Tamworth Country Music Festival are: 16-25 January 2009 or if you are unable to make it to Tamworth in January, why not come to Australia's Country Music Capital in July for its special mid-year celebration of country music, the Hats Off to Country Festival
