Scottish Heritage Festival

Visiting Scottish clan representatives will join with the local community in a celebration marking the contribution made by the early Scottish settlers to the development of the Manning Valley.

Thursday :
7.00pm : Masonic District Gathering at Wingham Lodge Cowper. All Masons welcome. Special ladies entertainment. Phone 02 6550 6240.

Friday:
11.00am - 3.00pm: Self Drive Tours of early Scottish settlements. Map and light lunch provided. Departs Museum - cost $10 per person.

7.00pm: Whiskey night hosted by the Wingham Pipes and Drums. Cost $30 Whisky or $15 Wine & soft drinks, per person.

Saturday
9.30am: Grand Parade & Scottish Fair. Highland Games and Dancing, Pipe Band Performances, Dark Ages Warriors Re-enactment, Military Display, Clan Info Booths, Craft Stalls, Highland Livestock and Log Split. Kilted Dash, Kilted Tug-O-War and Caber Toss. Food and Drink Stalls.

3.00pm: Grand Closing Ceremony.

6.00pm: Wee Dram Cocktail Party - Cost $20 per person.

Saturday night: Grand Scottish Ball. Three course dinner, bar and tray service. Live band, dancing, pipes and drums. Toasts and Haggis Ceremony. Formal dress. Limited to 160 persons. Cost $60 per person.

Sunday
8.00am: Thanksgiving Service. blessing of the Banners on the banks of the Manning River at Wingham Brush. Breakfast cost $5.

2.00pm: A 'Pleasant Sunday Afternoon' - Theme: Highlands to the Hebrides concert in the Wingham Town Hall. Afternoon tea cost $5 per person.
