Tyalgum Diggers Sports Day and Rodeo
A rich heritage of annual events includes the Tyalgum Diggers District Sports Day and Night Rodeo. The town of Tyalgum, 30 kilometres west of Murwillumbah comes alive for this annual event held at the Tyalgum Showground. A rodeo, wood chops, bush poetry, cattle and horse events, working dog trials, kids activities, cooking competitions, the country bar and of course billy tea and damper for lunch and lots more will keep both children and adults entertained. A great, fun day this event recalls the fun and excitement of the traditional village celebration.
