Oz Aliens Day

Remembering the Italian, Japanese and other "enemy aliens" arrested and interned in Hay between 1940 and 1945. On 2 of November 1940 the Camp 6 opened with Italian Civilian internees. On 25 of December 1941, 18 days after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, (7 December) Japanese internees from the islands north of Australia arrived to go into Camp 6. Also Japanese Bankers and Woolbuyers.
