Scarecrow Festival Milton
What?! You've never been to Milton's Scarecrow Festival? Well you just don't know what you've been missing. Starting out as a row of rag-tag scare crows adorning a Milton bench and has since grown into a scarecrow and harvest extravaganza.
The scarecrows will be "Colourful Crazy Characters". Dress up your scarecrow as your favourite character, be it from TV or a book, even a local identity, let loose and have fun. So between craft demonstrations, street theatre: between pumpkin pies and scarecrow viewing and dancing, you will find complete entertainment for the whole family.
So there you have it, a small community festival with big entertainment and bigger fun. Bring your scarecrows and your family to historic Milton located just north of Ulladulla on the South Coast June long weekend for the young and the young at heart will line the street and an eclectic collection of buskers will drum, toot, clack and spin all over town.
Sunday is the big day of the judging, the scarecrows all gather and jostle in the town posing to impress the judges. The winning scarecrows and their proud 'parents' are awarded prizes. There was scarecrow judging with 'Milton Money' prizes donated by local businesses, scarecrow face painting and a children's scarecrow costume competition.
