Shoalhaven Coast Wine Festival 2008

Eleven wineries of the Shoalhaven Coast wine region of NSW will be offering wine tastings, special dinners and lunches, entertainment, local produce and special events over the 2008 Queen's Birthday long weekend (7th - 9th June 2008)

1. Roselea Vineyard

Greek Mediterranean cuisine presented by Chefs John and Somprom Svinos at Gerringong Deli & Cafe, 133 Fern Street. 3 course wine dinner, five wines & a vintage port. $70 per person.
Cabaret Singer - Christina Paterno. Prizes: Case of wine & Lunch for Two at the Deli Cafe. Saturday: 31 May 7.00pm. Bookings Essential.

2. Coolangatta Estate

Lunch Saturday & Sunday: Noon - 3.00pm Choice of three main meals featuring the region’s produce, plus entertainment $25, Children (under 14) $10. Bookings preferred.
Saturday: The Moonshiners Band. Sunday: Local duo ‘Sirenics’.
Cellar Door: Taste current range, selected Museum Wines, and Tannat, a new wine varietal to Australia, which is good for you.

3. Two Figs Winery

Meet the winemaker and see how the wine is made amongst the barrels and tanks.
Taste local produce and enjoy a gourmet lunch, featuring Far Meadow Figs and Black Cockatoo organic.

“Blessed are the Cheese Makers”, the how, when & why of cheese making - a Unicorn cheese presentation followed by various styles of cheese to taste. Dip crusty bread and blueberries into a cheese & chocolate fondue! Saturday & Sunday: 11.30am & 2.30pm. Bookings essential.
Sensations on a Stick - pork, lamb, beef & chicken - all weekend.

6. Lyrebird Ridge Organic Winery

Enjoy warm hospitality at our beautiful property. Local produce, pottery & market stalls.
Relax by the campfire with Camp Oven Stew, damper & complimentary glass of wine $15, or a decadent Chocolate Fountain & Port in the Cellar. Lunch/Dinner 11.00am - 5.00pm.

Monday: Lunch by the fire - a la Carte menu.

10. Fern Gully Winery

Gourmet pies made using Fern Gully wines: Atlantic salmon & prawns in creamy leek & Chardonnay sauce or Venison, slowly braised in Chambourcin with field mushrooms $5 or $9 with glass of wine.

Winemaking tours: 1.00 am. $20 including free bottle of wine.
