Stuart Appleby Murray River Junior Masters
The Stuart Appleby Murray River Junior Masters is a 72 hole Junior Golf Tournament played over four days for boys and girls under 21 years of age. It is one of Victoria s premier junior events and provides a great opportunity to gain golf experience in a four day tournament. The Stuart Appleby Murray River Junior Masters is run by the Stuart Appleby Junior Golf Foundation and is now in its sixth year. The tournament features a welcome dinner/trivia night with competitors coming from across Victoria, NSW and beyond.
The 2008 event was played at both Cobram Barooga GC and Tocumwal GC for the second year. Both the Captain's and President's Courses were used at Tocumwal and the West Course at Cobram Barooga provided the scene for play on Friday and Sunday's final round. The Boys Champion was Kristian Bobanovic from New South Wales GC with a score of 301. Girls Champion was Reanna Mathews from Leongatha GC with a score of 315.
