The Alice Prize is the Northern Territory’s largest contemporary art prize and welcomes artists from around Australia.The Prize was first awarded in 1970, after a group of volunteer administrators led by businessman and MLA Bernie Kilgariff, established a national art competition to bring contemporary art to Central Australia.

An extraordinarily diverse collection of artists’ exhibit works in a variety of mediums including ceramics, fabric, glass as well as painting, drawing photography and new media.
