Lingalonga Festival
Batchelor will be buzzing with markets, music, sport and creative activities under the canopy of glorious rain trees.
Throughout the day you can experience a variety of free workshops, sample delicious foods from many cultures, while strolling through the market stalls. Try a singalong with local musicians in the ‘Buskers Bower’, create a sand sculpture in the ‘monster sandpit’ sponsored by Compass Resources or simply set up your camping chair and watch the action roll by. Life Be In It, Jumping Jay Jay’s Waterslide, Clowns and Puppeteers will keep the children enthralled for hours.
Dance, Dance, Dance will showcase performances of NT cultural dance groups. There will be free workshops with each performance and crowd involvement is guaranteed to entertain you.
From 4pm until dark – Listen to local, professional musicians, as they play your favourite tunes, have a boogie and shock the kids. Bar facilities are available through the afternoon until dark. Rum Jungle Tavern (next door) will be open for night meals and a great live band playing into the late evening.
