Music from the Movies
Music from the Movies features Paul Grabowsky – one of Australia’s leading film and fine music composers and Andy Firth – a well-respected instrumentalist in the world of clarinet.
Paul’s contribution to this concert will feature performances of his own original works for piano and orchestra, known film music scores including Born Free and Goldfinger by John Barry, ET by John Williams, and Gabriel’s Oboe by Ennio Morricone. Paul Grabowsky is also a multi-award winning jazz pianist
Andy will be performing (with his flamboyant approach) pieces from Golden Wedding, Mancini Medley, Strike up the Band and Misty. These pieces have been arranged for both the clarinet and orchestra, by one of Australia’s most acclaimed musicians Maestro Tommy Tycho.
