Free Guided Walks, Talks and Activities - Kakadu National Park
An interactive way to learn about and experience Kakadu National Park.
During the months of June through to October, catch a free daily guided talk at Ubirr and Nourlangie Rock. There will also be guided walks held at various locations throughout the Park
Mamukala Wetlands Walk – a journey of birds and wetlands, Bardedjilidji Sandstone and River Walk – a sandstone journey near the East Alligator River, Gunlom – share in cultural stories about bush tucker, fish and fresh water crocodiles, and Murrill Billabong – uncover the secrets of Gunlom’s network of creeks, billabongs and local history. These are just some of the guided walks available.
Slide shows are held at Kakadu Lodge Jabiru, Mardugal Campground, Gagudju Lodge Cooinda, Gunlom campground, Garnamarr campground, Aurora Kakadu South Alligator and Merl Campground.
Bininj/Mungguy Aboriginal cultural activities are held at the Warradjan Cultural Centre and the Gunlom picnic area. Learn about and participate in arts and crafts including pandanus weaving, bush dyes and traditional painting techniques, and see bush tucker being prepared.
