The Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival is one of regional Australia's leading arts festivals. It celebrates the literary and arts heritage of Penola and the fine wines of Coonawarra as well as the region’s premium produce.
Event features include local and national artist exhibitions, music, dance, literary and history tours, farmers' market, photographic exhibition and a competition to design the 2014 festival program.
There are plenty of exciting events, workshops and performances throughout the week so you are sure to find something for every-one.
Some of the highlights not to be missed include; the Mini DaVinci Exhibition by the Mary MacKillop Students, the John Shaw Neilson Exhibition, Co-Opera's performance of "Die Fledermaus", Don Morrison's Prawnhead performing at the Prince of Wales and Wynn’s Comedy Night.
There is a special children’s program, writer's workshops, various workshops and a Farmer’s Market.
