The Workshops Express

Take a 70 minute steam train journey from Roma Street Station to the birthplace of rail in Queensland, The Workshops Rail Museum in Ipswich.

Travel in vintage carriages and enjoy entry into this award-winning attraction including a Behind the Scenes Tour of the Working Workshop and see skilled trades people restoring and maintaining the Heritage Fleet just as they have for over 100 years. Return to Roma Street Station via coach (bus).

A Roast lunch and dessert option, served in the Museum's Trackside Café is available for an additional AUD14.50.

The Workshops Express is run monthly on a Wednesday. Dates for 2009 are: 9 September, 7 October, 4 November and 9 December.

Bookings are essential and enclosed footwear is required.
